Main Dance Division

The main dance division is designed for students looking for a recreational dance program. Enhanced concentration, coordination, and discipline are just a few of the skills learned at The Dream Center that will help foster a healthy mind and body. Throughout all levels of instruction, we employ Ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, and Acrobatics.  Advancement depends on age and student progression.  The Dream Center wants to make sure every student enjoys dancing; while at the same time receives a high level of training. All students enrolled in the Main Dance Division have the opportunity to perform in our end of the year recital.

Ballet/Tap Combo
((2nd grade and up)

Our program includes an in-depth study of ballet, which is considered the foundation of artistic dance and is essential for any serious dancer. You’ll learn about proper alignment, body placement, standard arm/leg/feet positions, timing, and more. In addition, we offer tap classes that emphasize musicality, sound quality, body placement, and terminology. At the advanced level, students focus on integrating tap dance and music for improvisation and choreography. Join us to develop your skills and explore creative avenues!

Jazz/Contemporary Combo
((2nd grade and up)

Style and precision are masterfully integrated into the Jazz program. Warm-up exercises are designed specifically to increase flexibility and strength. The primary focus of all center floor combinations is total body control. Across the floor combinations focus on dynamics and fluidity. An upbeat class that’s not to be missed! Contemporary It is best categorized as a combination of ballet, jazz, and modern.  Contemporary is a great form of creative expression.

Acrobatics/Hip Hop Combo
((Kindergarten and up)

Hip Hop is a high-energy “street style” dance performed to popular music. It’s loved by teens, preteens, and the “young at heart.”

We blend acrobatic movements with dance steps, teaching students the fundamentals of movement and timing while incorporating tumbling. Through our classes, dancers improve overall control, flexibility, and strength. They will learn basic floor tumbling skills like handstands, cartwheels, rolls, bridges, and more. Advanced students will have the chance to work on kick-overs, walk-overs, and running passes.

*NEW* Dance Team / Pom
(4th grade and up)

This class focuses on sharp arm movements, execution of visuals and dance team skills. Dancers will learn the fundamentals of Pom positions, work on jumps and turns, and expand their performance skills. A must for any dancer looking to eventually be on a school dance team. Dancers will need to purchase poms. Links will be sent after class registration.

*NEW* Open Tumbling
((Ages 8 and up)

Dancers will work on basic floor tumbling skills, handstands, cartwheels, forward and backward rolls, bridges, backbends, etc. More advanced students will have the opportunity to work on kick-overs, walk-overs, ariels and running passes. This is a NON-RECITAL CLASS. The perfect opportunity for dancers looking to focus on improving skills.
